UNIQUE ASYMMETRICAL GAMEPLAY: (2-6 Players / 2-3 Hours) Choose either to go it alone as a Pioneer or play Co-op with the Bandit Gang. Bandits can use hidden movement to ambush unsuspecting victims from the shadows. Pioneers can ride the Train around the map to evade and confuse the Bandits. All 16 characters have multiple abilities to help you get rich and stay alive. Regardless of which side you choose, you’ll need to load up with Weapons, Items, Pets, and Power Cards.
INTREPID PIONEERS: Each Pioneer has their own way to get rich and stay alive. Some Pioneers excel at their job and have great utility. Other Pioneers are best at exploring and surviving the wilderness. A few are combat specialists and are deadly in battle. Pioneers win by getting rich mining for gold, herding cattle, and trapping for furs. However, you will have to beat your rival Pioneers and fend off the treacherous Bandit Gang.
DASTARDLY BANDITS: Every member of the Bandit Gang has their own unique talents, but you must work together to succeed. The Gang wins by relieving the Pioneers of their hard-earned loot. You can also rob the train, ransack the saloon, pull off a bank heist, or break your pals out of jail. It’s up to the Gang to scheme and plot their way to victory. You can even use the Dry Erase board to keep your plans secret!
OPEN-WORLD POSSIBILITIES: It pays to explore off the beaten path. All players can collect Power Cards at the Indian Village, Coyote Canyon Saloon, or in the ghost town of Purgatory. If you are feeling lucky, ante up for a chance to gain Power Cards at the Poker Tournament. Every player can get more abilities by befriending animals! Pioneers have loyal companions that help them get the job done and always have their back. Bandits can train pets to help hunt down their prey.
PLAYER VS PLAYER: Player interaction is essential to winning Best of the West. You must battle, bribe, and trade your way to the top. Use a combination of weapons, items, and character abilities to master the quick back-and-forth combat system. Switch between deadly firearms to gun down your enemies. If you run out of ammo, grab a hand-to-hand weapon and finish them off. Power Cards grant you access to even more weapons, defensive counters, and even friendly allies to fight with you.
